Erik has a dream. It's a simple dream but its to visit all (well you know the big ones) of the college football stadiums. He's done most of the SEC but there's still a couple to knock off. This weekend we went to Nashville to visit Carrie and went to a Vandy game. We left Saturday around lunch. Good trip until right over the TN border and then we stopped. The next thing we knew a jester was running down the interstate... We talked to a truck driver who said they were blasting down the road and it was closed till 5, it was like 2. Then I called Carrie and she googled it and apparently there was a wreck and thats what the hold up was. A few min later we had moved a few feet and all of a sudden Erik is leaning over me pulling the window open. One of his truck drivers was right beside us! How weird is that??? On to Nashville we go and get to Carrie's house. We didn't want Carrie to feel left out so Erik got her a little something...
Its a ring! And its bigger than mine :( And then I remembered an important little piece of information... Carrie has a cat...Erik is highly allergic...ooooops! We told him not to touch anything until we went to the game and then we'd figure something out. So we went on to the game. Here are a few pics...
During halftime some guys were dressed up as pac-man characters and they played a lifesize version in the stands!
Erik in his Vandy shirt...but look he hasn't forgotten his true colors...he's got his Bama stuff underneath!
We sat behind this really drunk girl who was a wannabe cheerleader. I told Carrie I think she was dressed as Blossom (remember that show?) but we think she was for real...so sad :(
After the game we took Erik down to Broadway St just for a look. And we found Waldo! Then we went to eat at an american asian fusion restaurant. I tried to eat something new and this is what I ended up with...
I have no words to describe what it tasted like. Kinda like a coconut cream puff with bbq in the middle maybe?. I don't know it was pretty interesting...and I didn't finish it. So its time to go to bed and we go back to Carrie's. We figure since the air mattress we were gonna sleep on was new and the sheets were freshly washed there would be no cat hair on it so we blew it up and laid down. Erik started sniffling a little. He said it was the cold. He sniffled some more...he said he was ok. It kept getting worse and worse and then I heard wheezing. By now its about 1:00 am (well midnight since the time change) we decide to go to a hotel. We FINALLY find a hotel room and crash for the night. This morning we went back to get Carrie and went to the famous pancake pantry.
After that Carrie had to do homework and we came back home with no more events!
