Aville Tornado 4/24/10

Most of you know a tornado came through my hometown, Aville this past weekend. It has basically destroyed lots of downtown including the high school. All my family is fine and safe but my aunt & uncle have probably lost their house. Me and Megan went home on Mon to help clean up.

My aunt & uncle's house...it actually doesn't look so bad on the outside. They were in the hallway when the tornado hit...I'm so happy they're ok!

while we were there the living room ceiling fell in. After this we opened the front door to let in some air and a couple hours later we couldn't get the door shut cause the house had fell a bit.

This was the gas station where my aunt was stuck for a couple of hours. The metal poles had the front door blocked.



this house is behind my aunt's...not a trailer...the roof is gone. These people actually became airborn when the tornado went over!

The high school was being remodeled and had all these trailers out front as temp classrooms...it looked like a war zone

Megan Got Baptised!

Sunday after Mandy's shower my parents and Granny came to my house to get me and Erik to go watch Megan get baptised! Due to Megan's cat while we sat at her apt Erik had to sit outside...

Mandy's Baby Shower

Mandy had her baby shower on Sunday. She got lots of good stuff! I can't wait to meet baby Tate!

Funny Side Story: I have been planning on going to her shower for 2 weeks...thinking it was Saturday. Erik was sad cause we couldn't go to A-Day. I got ready and drove all the way across town to Homewood and all I saw was a big yard sale sign and people in tank tops and shorts. I pulled out my phone to call somebody and realized the date was the 17th...not the 18th...

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Friday was my 27th :( bday. Erik woke me up with roses and a giftcard to my fave store, Home Goods. That night we went out to eat with another couple to a new restaurant for us...John's City Diner. Erik had been trying to get me to go but I thought it was like a hamburger diner...nope its a fancy place! Saturday was Moriah's wedding and then we went to Aville for a party with my family.

Saturday was Moriah's wedding at Aldridge Gardens. The weather was pretty nasty in the AM but it ended up being gorgeous! Congrats Moriah!
