Happy Easter!!!
I hope everyone had a great Easter! I missed both my family and my work family very much but I didn't have that bad of a day. Me and Laura laid out by the pool all day long! I even got sun burnt! Even though I miss everybody like crazy its hard not to love laying in the sun! I do miss playing chubby bunny though! Even though I'm thousands of miles away from home...I still got an Easter basket too...it came in through the mail! I got washclothes and cadburry eggs (my fav)! And who says the Easter Bunny's not real???? He can find you anywhere!

17 Mile Drive
17 Mile Drive is a touristy spot along the coast from Monterey to Carmel-by-the-sea and thats about it. We had to pay $10 to even drive the road. And these are the only things that impressed me! Its just a way for these multi millionaires to make even more money!
The Lone Cypress Tree-has withstood many winds and is still standing on the edge of a cliff...for several hundred years
harbor seals
The rough waves... caused by underwater rocks. It seems like waves after waves...supposedly these currents are deadly!

Yay!!! I finally made it to Monterey! Cannery Rd...yeah wasn't that impressive. We had some amazing chocolate though and then there was this beach called Lover's Point. It was very cool. There was a cliff of rocks that you could walk and I got some really good pics!

Karaoke with Pirates
After a quick drink at Heinold's us Alabama girls and some of our pirate friends went into the city for karaoke.
These are 2 of our pirate friends...yes Elmo is wearing a dress. We made him wear it and the funny thing is...he didn't even get a second look in the city...I guess they are use to stuff like that :)! No...these guys are as straight as can be!
Elmo singing...a Prince song of course! He was the best performance all night!

Wine in Napa
We made it to more wineries this time. We started at V Sattui the one we've been too before. We tried the wine (again) and then had a picnic lunch! Then we went to Cosentino and then Andretti. Out of the 3 V Sattui is the best...as far as good tasting wines. At Cosentino we had a celebrity sighting (I didn't know who he was and I can't remember his name now...maybe it will come to me later) and our server was AWESOME and then Andretti had an AMAZING port wine (which is one of my favs)!

Muir Woods
Friday morning we woke up and drove to Muir Woods (which is where a lot of Redwood trees are) and then to Napa for wine. I learned a few things here...Redwoods are the tallest trees and can be up to 20 ft in diameter and Sequoias are shorter but can be 40ft in diameter. It was FREEZING in the shade though and we had all worn flip flops so we got a few pics and headed to the wine country!

San Francisco Bus Adventure
Again...this is why I blog. I swear the most random stuff happens to me and then especially if me and Carrie are together...today was no exception.
After Lombard our plan was to take the muni buses over to Golden Gate Park. I planned our route in advance and had the buses and their numbers in my phone. We walked two blocks down from Lombard to the bus stop and sure enough here comes the #17 bus that we were suppose to get on so we get on and start our adventure.
At a stop down the way this drunk guy with half his teeth missing and his face swollen decides to get on and sits right in front of us. Beside him was a woman who...lets just say she probably didn't like men...and she kinda had male tendencies. Well the drunk guy starts trying to talk to her. The conversation went like this..."Ma'm...(no answer), Sir...(no answer), Individual...(no answer), whatever kind of person you are...(no answer)...just ignore me fine I don't wanna talk to you I can't tell whether you a man or woman I just wanna talk fine you ignore me fine" and the drunk guy goes to the back to annoy somebody else. That woman was a better person than me I would've done slapped the fire out of him but she just kept looking straight ahead and wouldn't answer. So continuing on our bus...
The one thing I didn't write down was how long each bus route was suppose to take so I wasn't sure. We had been on the #17 for awhile and getting into areas I had never seen before when me and Carrie started trying to figure out what was going on. We go around this certain curve and finally everybody else on the bus starts asking the driver whats going on...apparently we weren't the only confused ones...apparently the bus driver had the wrong sign on his bus so we get off and I called Laura to help us get on the right bus again...
So we hop on the bus that will lead us in the right direction, its full so we have to stand. A few blocks down this middle eastern man stands up and starts yelling about his god and how he just wants all of us to get along and then he starts walking down the aisle of the bus still yelling all of this crap. Finally the bus driver tells him to calm down but he starts yelling even louder and he's right between me and Carrie. OK I don't know what you all are thinking but in my sick morbid mind I'm thinking "he's fixin to blow this bus up in a suicide bombing". So I quickly push the stop button on the bus and shove the doors open and I grab Carrie and we jump out. I mean I'm not ready to die and I'm really not gonna go by some sick osama follower. So me and Carrie take off down the block walking we look back and the bus driver has finally gotten the crazy guy off the bus so we chase the bus down and get back on. OK time for a sidenote:
THIS is the reason there is so much prejudice against muslim and islam people. How many times do you see Christians screaming walking down city buses? Not that much but how many times have we seen in the news where sick osama people have done suicide bombings on buses...what am I suppose to think when you are screaming like a crazy person preaching islam on a city bus?
Enough of my tangent...of course the bus didn't blow up or anything and we got back on, got on our next bus but then realized we didn't think this one was going to GG Park and just gave up and went back to the ferry building to come back to my apartment...
Before this adventure we had a great day but this was just ENOUGH! I don't know why I'm so surprised this kind of stuff ALWAYS happens to me.

Lombard St
I finally got some good pics of Lombard St (the curviest street in the world)! We took the cable car to it and walked down to get pics and then back up it. THAT was a hike! Our legs are so sore! Its stairs all the way up...we definitely got our exercise today...

Who is that fool???
yeah he's swimming in the bay...the FREEZING bay!!! And all he had on was a speedo. I hope he's part of the Polar Bear club and he's training...there were actually like 10 guys out there doing the same thing!

We ran across this at Alamo Square (which is the park where you see the Full House houses)...I'm not sure who does it or what it means but it was funny!

"Whatever happened to predictability?...
The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV.
Miss your old familiar friend, waiting just around the bend.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go (there's a heart).
There's a heart
A hand to hold onto.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go.
There's a face
Of somebody who needs you.
Eveywhere you look,
When you're lost out there and you're all alone,
A light is waiting to carry you home (carry you home),
Everywhere you look.
Everywhere you look."
If YOU get this post YOU are the coolest person EVER!!!!
